Chief Mike Okiro the Chairman of the Police Service Commission had probably been on twitter lately and saw how Nigerians lashed out at police officers for doing that to VIP'S
So yesterday at a press conference is Abuja, Chief Okirowarned Police officers on escort duties with Very Important Persons to desistfrom carrying hand bags and engaging in other domestic duties for VIPs they areattached to calling it an insult to the Police uniform and the Nigeria PoliceForce as a whole.
Okiro also said the commission would henceforth arrestpolice operatives on illegal escort duty, adding that its workers would soon bedeployed in airports and on the highways to apprehend errant policemen.
Is this A welcomed development, or nah.... VIP's are free to do as they like
