Eight Nigerian athletes have tested positive to banneddrugs. According to the Minister of Youth and Sport, Solomon Dalung theathletes who tested positive to banned drugs who have now all be banned fromsporting activities are; Samson Idiata (Athletics) Sunday Ezeh(Para-athletics), Thomas Kure (Para-powerlifting) Patience Opuene (Wrestling), JamesIgbadiwei, Deborah Odeyemi and Chinazom Amadi.
They were reported to have tested positive at the 2015 AllAfrica Games held in Congo and have been banned for 4years except, aweightlifter, Elizabeth Owuah who was banned for eight years.
