President Buhari, his predecessor Goodluck Jonathan, former interim presidnt Ernest Shonekan and former military leade, Abdulsalami Abubakar, are presently attending the Council of State meeting holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is the second council of state meeting to be presided over by President Buhari. The first held in October last year.

Former leaders who were absent at the meeting include Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Shehu Shagari, Yakubu Gowon.

Also absent as at the begging of the meeting were Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.State governors who are present at the meeting include those of Abia, Sokoto, Kaduna, Lagos, Taraba, Kogi, Plateau, Jigawa, Yobe, Kebbi, Katsina, Rivers, Borno, Niger, Adamawa, Imo, Cross River, Benue, Bauchi, Enugu, Kwara.
