The Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo debate has taken a new turn after EA Sports released their FIFA 17 ratings.


The Canadian software giant has been leaking their player ratings out all weak, and today the top three have been released.


Cristiano takes the top spot with a 94 rating, while Messi comes in second with a 93 rating. That is one point down for the Barcelona star, from his rating on the previous edition, FIFA 16.

The rankings could well have something to do with Messi’s transfer to Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, where he is now the cover star, after previously being the FIFA lead.


The third-best player on FIFA 17 is another Barca man in the form of Neymar. The Brazilian has landed a rating of 92.
