A 15-year-old boy, Raistlin Arthur Martin has hacked his Grandfather to death after allegedly signing on to an anonymous messaging appwhere he revealed his murderous plans.

Martin allegedly uploaded images of the black gloves hepurchased to wear for the slaying as well as the hatchet that was used toend Joseph Emmett Naulty’s life on Aug. 8, according to an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.

Martin allegedly used Kik to detail his nefarious plansand even told one user he would likely face a lighter prison sentence for the Premeditated killing, given his age, according to the affidavit.

When a fellow Kik user asked Martin why he wanted hisgrandfather dead, the affidavit alleges he replied, “He’s just kinda Inconvenient.”

The 63-year-old Naulty had moved into his son’s home inFayetteville, North Carolina, after his wife died in Alabama in February,authorities say.

Martin has been charged as a juvenile with first-degreemurder. Prosecutors are still considering charging him as an adult.

His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 12 in CumberlandCounty Juvenile Court in North Carolina.
