The 2016 Golden Globes were an exciting night for Sylvester Stallone and his fans around the world. It was the night that the 69-year-old actor took home the hardware for Best Supporting Actor, marking his first Golden Globe win after three nominations. But when he forgot some important people in his acceptance speech, fellow actor Samuel L. Jackson , 67, couldn’t help but notice — and make it known on Twitter!

During his tearfully heartfelt speech, Sly thanked his wife, Jennifer Flavin, daughters Sistine , Sophia and Scarlet , and even his “imaginary friend” (and legendary character) Rocky Balboa for his huge win. After he wrapped up, though, fans noticed that Sylvester failed to mention his director Ryan Coogler or costar Michael B. Jordan in his speech. One of those fans was Samuel, and for whatever reason he felt the need to tweet about it!

Samuel’s tweet sparked some angry response from Sly fans, who were quick to defend the Creed actor by declaring that he did in fact thank the filmmakers and his costars, but the cameras just didn’t catch it because it was after he had wrapped his initial speech. Because of the backlash, Sam made sure to recognize that he understands how Sylvester forgot to name everyone amidst the shock of his win.
